Painted Fulgrim Miniature

This is an awesome model of Fulgrim, Primarch of The Emperors Children. I've had this model sitting around for sometime but have not painted him up. Until now...

The NMM is improving with each model and I've decided on a nice pallette of colours which I used on this model.

His base is quite basic, I wanted to paint it in a marble style but that's too difficult for me. Maybe after lots of practise I'll come back to it.

More NMM Gold Progress and another Primarch

I have been practising NMM gold even more recently and have changed my pallette so it looks less orange/yellow and more brown/gold as it should. The results are a lot better than my previous attempts. Below you can see a torso I practised on as well as part of my Fulgrim model which I've recently started painting.

I may write a tutorial for the gold when I perfect it a bit more. As for Fulgrim I wanted a break from what I've been working on and I couldn't resist painting some NMM gold on that big eagle on his shoulder. Expect to see him finished in my next blog post.

A little bit of NMM practice

So I'm still trying my hand at gold NMM. I have converted this Custode model, based on Dave Taylors test Custode model. I am still trying to get my head around the light sources but I'm getting better with my blending techniques.

The Emperor and Horus

I purchased this model of The Emperor from eBay a while back. His sword was quite bent and his eagle wing had snapped so I replaced with suitable parts. I would love to get really good at NMM so I can paint him up to look really...urm.. good.

I also decided to convert up a model of the Warmaster Horus using mainly plastic parts and green stuff. He is only basecoated so far but hopefully I will get him painted up in the near future.

A few more Noise Marines

Here are the other few Noise Marines that I'll be painting up to finish the squad. They are pretty much just standard Noise Marine models with a couple of MkIV parts added.

Noise Marine Rhino

I'm still going through a bit of a painting slump, however I have managed to paint up this rhino for my Noise Marine Squad. I have used plastic tubes for the organ. Also this rhino uses the MKI Rhino doors from Chapter House Studios.

I've used the same colours as I used on my Noise Marines, the mithril silver having a wash of blue and the golds being painted in browns and yellow to make them seem brighter. I've always used turquiose on the demon face on the combi bolter.
